10cc - The Original Soundtrack

a very belated happy new year!

here is some art pop from back when 10cc was art pop, my favorite of their works.

if you are interested in music production techniques, look into how the track below ("i'm not in love") was produced, some very clever techniques there!

Sun Ra - Atlantis

i run on laser beams!

(sorry for the 2 month break, i am very good at procrastinating. just wanted you to know i'm still alive!)

Tomahawk - Anonymous

mike patton + traditional native american music = ???

incredibly bizarre but awesome, as is usual with mr. patton :D

Secede - Tryshasla

this has been one of my favorite albums for a while, i should have posted it sooner :S

lush atmospheric soundscapes and amazing beats... it reminds me of an instrumental clark mixed with ambient brian eno. quite alien, but so comforting that you can't help being relaxed by it.

Cyrusrex - all.ofmeHyde

(O_O；)

sorry, no album tracks are available on the youtubes, so here is a video of the artist twiddling knobs live:

RxRy - Snw Mltr

it has been a month since i last posted here. i am not very good at this "daily" thing, am i? :P

anyways, very mysterious artist, RxRy, but very good!

Sleepytime Gorilla Museum - In Glorious Times

thought this would make for a nice early-halloween post... seriously, don't listen to this album if you aren't ready to sell your soul to satan in exchange for listening to one of the craziest avant-death-metal groups that ever existed. enjoy >:D

p.s. take a look at the lyrics for some of the songs on this album for extra wtf-ness... here is the below song's lyrics.

Alva Noto - Univrs

alva noto is back for another glitchy, heavily processed data trip with his weirdo spoken-word-french-artist-guy. an obvious followup to the amazing unitxt, this album gets a bit further into noise territory than the previous one.

Pan Sonic - Kesto (234.48:4)

ogosh :o

Secret Mommy - The Mall

the new EP by sampler-extraordinaire, secret mommy. as the name suggests, all samples are taken from field recordings at a canadian shopping mall.

Marconi Union - A Lost Connection

man, it's a bit more than half a month since i last updated! i realize that i am pretty freaking awful at this "daily" thing, hehe. maybe i should rename it noise weekly? idunno, it's becoming harder and harder to find albums that i haven't already posted :s

hopefully you enjoy this one, its glitchy idm with some ambient/acoustic/house elements... i guess you could call it downtempo? who knows, but it's nice, hehe

Tera Melos - Patagonian Rats

hmmm

Kim Cascone - Blue Cube [ ]

the song below is not from this album, but i couldn't find any of the tracks from blue cube on youtube :(

Naked City - Radio

this album is an great introduction to the madness that is john zorn. it begins with some nice blues/jazz influenced tunes, slowly incorporating insanity into the music, to the point where you can actually almost bear the most extreme of naked city's music. note that this album is still extremely tough to grasp, as john zorn is not exactly a great intro to noise music; he is known to give even the most seasoned harsh avant-garde veteran a severe migraine... but still, this album is a classic, and if you can get past the blaring saxophone and painful free jazz improvisations, you will see the awesomeness that john zorn is. that said, beware the album "torture garden". not even joking. it will hurt your brain if you haven't heard at least this album first :o

Fennesz - Hotel Paral.lel

just checking in to say i am still here, just really busy... sorry, i should have called this site "noise every-once-in-a-while" :P

today is some neat ambient drone/glitch made with a guitar, field recordings, and post processing out the wazoo :D

impu - Let it all flowers

very good, happy music :3

http://iqtu.com/ is his website, all his music is pay-what-you-want and streamable, enjoy!

Frank Zappa - Apostrophe (')

<3 <3 <3

if you can find it, there is also a combo of this album and overnite sensation, that is definitely a bonus :)

Datach'i - Mmale and Ffemale

sorry for lazyness, but uhhh, i am lazy. yeah, so, glitchy break funtime over here, my brain is like a computer when i listen to this :D

Captain Beefheart - Trout Mask Replica

this isn't so much a "suggestion" as a "requirement". seriously, if you don't listen to this album now, then leave this blog, fast and bulbous.

múm - Yesterday Was Dramatic – Today Is OK
